After listing your property, buyers place competitive bids during a set bidding period. Once the bidding period ends, you’ll receive two offers: one from the highest bidder and one from the second-highest bidder. You’ll have the opportunity to review both offers, considering their terms and price, and then decide which to accept. Alternatively, you can decline or negotiate further if neither offer meets your expectations.

While you’re not required to have an agent, it’s recommended due to the complexity of selling a home. KeyBidz will assign an agent to you at no cost

You can still use our platform for free. However, it’s between you and your agent to agree on their compensation.

KeyBidz offers AI-driven pricing tools to help you set an optimal starting price based on market data, property features, and local trends. Your agent will also provide valuable input. To ensure the bidding process works as designed and attracts maximum interest, the starting bid price is typically set 20% to 30% below the market value. This strategy creates competitive excitement among buyers, driving bids higher and maximizing your property’s final sale price.

Buyers pay a “Platform Fee,” which is standard for bidding platforms. KeyBidz may use this fee to cover agent commissions and platform operating expenses.

Currently, KeyBidz is available exclusively in California. However, we have plans to expand nationwide in the future.

KeyBidz is not an auction. While it uses a competitive bidding system to secure offers, it doesn’t follow the stringent rules of a traditional auction. Sellers maintain full control and are not obligated to accept any bid. Once the bidding period ends, the process transitions seamlessly into a traditional real estate sale, with all the typical steps like negotiations, inspections, and closing. This ensures transparency and flexibility while maximizing the value of your property.

Selling your home through KeyBidz offers several advantages: you pay ZERO commission, receive full broker representation, have no long-term contract obligations, maintain full control, and enjoy complete transparency throughout the process. Plus, there’s absolutely no risk involved for the seller—you always reserve the right to accept, counter, or reject any bids.

In addition to certified agents, KeyBidz also has its own agents who are trained to manage transactions and provide expert support throughout the process.
 Your home will be shown only during the scheduled open house. KeyBidz does not encourage the use of a lockbox, which can be inconvenient for sellers needing to keep the property available for viewing throughout the day. In special circumstances, your agent may request permission to show the home at a mutually agreed-upon time for a highly interested buyer unable to attend the open house.
KeyBidz allows you to sell residential properties, including single-family homes, condos, and townhouses. For other property types, contact us for guidance.
